In this mad crazy rollercoaster of a life I have very recently made two quite major decisions! One was to start a business, just as some extra income alongside my full-time job, so that I can perhaps indulge in a few luxuries as I’m getting older and the other was to climb a mountain, something I had never thought about or prepared for or even really ever wanted to do but something that has now become quite significant in my life!
These words are written on a plaque that was given to me recently by a friend of mine and are the inspiration for this post, it was a thank you gift for helping her out, not that she needed to thank me but all the same it was much appreciated, she knows me so well and she knows that I am doing exactly that, chasing my dreams I mean! Continue reading “Don’t follow your dreams, chase them!”
When, all of a sudden it’s Christmas everywhere you look, even though it’s only November! Don’t get me wrong I love Christmas, just not until at least until December! Bah Humbug! You may be thinking but come on it seems to get earlier every year and personally advertising Christmas before we’ve even had Halloween I think is a little over the top! For all those who can’t wait to put the tree up by the end of October……. I’m not judging it’s just a little too early for my liking!
But hey each to their own!
No that’s an Angel!
Have you ever asked for a sign that someone is watching over you? And if so did you receive it? If you were asked if you believed in fairies and angels and the power of the universe would you answer truthfully?
This is what my daughter lovingly referred to me as the other day……… and I guess she’s right!
When I was younger during my late 20’s probably up to my early 40’s I wanted to be part of the action, the social scene so to speak, don’t get me wrong I was never a wild party animal but I loved socialising and having a busy fast paced life, I definitely did my fair share of nights out and girls holidays but I wasn’t a raver of any description! I guess back in my 20’s I needed to be amongst the hustle bustle of life and my own company in those days wasn’t very appealing, I always felt that I needed to have something planned to keep my anxious mind occupied, I thought I would always want to live in a town where everything was on hand and there was always be someone close by if I needed them and whilst I was a single mum constantly fighting for survival this suited me just fine!
As she walks away from the car the beautiful young woman before me turns and says “Thanks mum l love you, I’ll text you when I get there”
For me it’s the most wonderful time of the year!
